Dr. Chacko is a Board Certified psychiatrist and a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. He is also Board Certified in Forensic and Addiction psychiatry.

He has practiced psychiatry in Orlando since 1979. He has also done teaching and administrative work and is actively involved in the organizational activities of the American Psychiatric Association and the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law.

In the past he has served as Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry at Florida Hospital, Orlando, Associate Director of Psychiatric Residency at Wright State University College of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio and Chief of Psychiatry at the Department of Veterans Affairs Outpatient Clinic in Orlando, Florida.
